This is the beach that the movie "10" was filmed on, featuring Bo Derek and Dudley Moore. It is a quick car ride or a less than 10-minute walk from the Villa. Chairs and beach umbrellas are available for rent. This is a good area for snorkeling. Paddle boats, jet skis, kayaks, boogie boards and banana boat rides are available from beach vendors. Bring a cooler from the Villa and spend the day at this fun beach in Manzanillo. The beach at the Las Hadas hotel is accessible only after paying an entrance fee at the main gate of Las Hadas. This is a very nice beach with beautiful white beach tents, towels and chairs available for rent. See our FAQ about Las Hadas and the gorgeous Mexican Riviera beaches. There are numerous other gorgeous Mexican Riviera beaches in the Manzanillo/Santiago area within a 10-15 minute drive.

Do Villa guests have access to the Las Hadas Hotel?
Las Hadas allows entrance to Villa guests to their golf and tennis facilities. Guests pay the posted fees for those activities. Since the hotel was purchased by Brisas, they have been charging an entrance fee for visitors. As of the fall 2008, they charge $300 pesos (about $30.00 US) for each adult per day and $200 pesos (about $20.00 US) for each child (ages 6 to 12) per day (one child per adult). They provide you with coupons that can be exchanged for services within the hotel, such as beach tents, towel rental, lounge chairs at the beach or pool and merchandise. Las Hadas has a beautiful pool with a swim up bar. The beach is gorgeous and clean. Coupons can also be used for meals at the several hotel restaurants and for bar tabs. Guests who choose to dine at one of the Las Hadas resort restaurants do not have to pay any entrance fee at the gate. Is the Villa rented to more than one group at a time?
Each rental has private use of the Villa. Whether your group has four or 20, you will have the entire Villa to yourself.

Do you charge for children to stay at the Villa and is the Villa set up for children? With the exception of infants less than one year of age, children are considered in the rental calculation. We base the number of staff needed to provide excellent service on the total number of guests staying in your group. Children tend to keep our staff quite busy, as we strive to keep a clean and safe atmosphere for your group. If you have children in your group, remember that the Villa has a lot of steps and areas with balconies that are not child-proof and the Villa pool and hot tub are located right off the main living area. Children must be supervised at all times. The staff is not permitted to babysit, but there are local babysitting services available that will come to the Villa and sit for your children. The house manager has a list of names/agencies that you can call--but make sure that you call in advance of need. We have had many groups with younger and older children alike stay at the Villa with great success (see Villa testimonials). The Mexican culture is very family-oriented, and your children will be most welcome by our staff.

Does the Villa provide childcare services?
The Villa does not provide a formal child care service.  Please consult with our knowledgeable house staff regarding recommended local babysitters. It is your responsibility, however, to contact these individuals to set up service and work out payment arrangements and other important details. The Villa assumes no responsibility with respect to this service and accepts no liabilities relative to these services.

Is there a minimum or maximum stay required at the Villa?
There is no minimum or maximum number of nights a group must reserve to rent the Villa. If we can fit you into the calendar, whether it's one night or 30 nights, we'll do it. We do have a 6-person minimum charge per night. Please note that there is a minimum 10-person charge during the Christmas Holiday 12/15-1/5. This works out well, as smaller groups do not have to pay a huge weekly rental fee when their group doesn't use all the bedrooms and does not need the large staff that a big group requires. Why pay for it if you don't use it?

We have family/friends all over the United States that would like to go to the Villa. How do we get there? Manzanillo has an airport. There are frequent flights into Manzanillo from Mexico City and from Los Angeles, Houston, Phoenix and other cities throughout North America. During the high season there are flights from other cities, but this changes. The best thing to do is to check with your travel agent. Some of our guests fly into Guadalajara and then either hire a large 12 passenger van (about $340.00 US dollars plus tip through our office) or take the ETN Bus Line (nice and safe, too!) for about $25.00 per person to get to Manzanillo. They find this saves a lot of money. Call the Top Joy Vacations office at 1-800-683-0131 for further details.

If there is an emergency and someone needs a doctor or a clinic, is there one close to the Villa? The Villa house manager has direct contact with several prominent physicians that can direct you to area clinics or hospital, or perform a "house call" if needed. The emergency clinic is located less than 5 minutes away, and the closest hospital is a 10-15 minute drive. The Villa house manager is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week-do not hesitate to call him in a case of emergency, or for any other need. The Villa is always at your service.

Is there a fax machine or copy machine at the Villa? In the media room at the Villa, there is a fax machine that also can make copies of documents you may need copied. There are office supplies, such as paper, staplers, paper clips, post-it notes, etc. as well so that you can handle work or personal business tasks during your stay.

What kind of phone service is available at the Villa? Can we make outgoing calls or receive calls? The Villa subscribes to Vonage which will allow you to make calls to the continental U.S. at no charge. You may also receive calls. If you make calls to other countries, or need to make long distance or directory assisted calls that are fee-based, you will be charged for those calls. The total cost of calls made by your party will be deducted from the security deposit upon receipt of the bill. If the cost of phone calls exceeds the deposit, you will receive an additional bill.

What kind of amenities are offered or available in the bedrooms at the Villa? The Villa provides complimentary use of luxurious bathrobes (two per adult room) from the exclusive Peacock Alley Spa Collection. The plush robes have been embroidered with the Villa logo and are so comfortable that many of our guests choose to purchase a robe to take home with them. In addition to the robes, each room is furnished with an ample supply of spa soap, tissues and toilet paper.
